The vehicle had about 78,000 miles. I was driving at roughly 70 mph on a highway when the glass burst with a loud bang. The glass blew upward and outward, not inward, and there was no road debris, no overhead object and no sign of anything striking the roof. No impact point or chip is visible on the remaining glass. No one was injured. The vehicle was out of the 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty. The Lexus dealer inspected it and is replacing the sunroof assembly.
