The set was purchased through Amazon on June 14, 2026, and sold by WeatherTech. On two separate occasions, I pressed the accelerator and it would not move normally because it caught against the bowed liner. When I pressed harder, it released and the vehicle surged forward abruptly. No one was in front of the vehicle, and I stopped without a collision. My wife was frightened by the sudden movement and did not initially understand what happened. We identified the liner interference, removed the liner and notified WeatherTech. My wife had also reported similar interference on earlier occasions. I reported the problem to WeatherTech on October 3, 2026, with a photo and video link. A representative confirmed receiving the photo, stated there was a known Tesla fitment issue and provided seating instructions. By October 17, I had received a replacement, which also bowed outward and contacted the accelerator. On October 17, I reported the recurrence and explained that I had cut away the interfering portion. This modification does not establish that the liner is safe or resolve the repeated problem. The liner interference created a risk of unintended acceleration and collision. Whether a dealer or independent service center reproduced or confirmed it is UNKNOWN. Physical inspection by the manufacturer, police, insurer or others is UNKNOWN. Associated warning lamps or messages are UNKNOWN. Current availability of the liners for inspection is UNKNOWN; the replacement has been modified. This complaint concerns aftermarket floor-liner interference, not a diagnosed failure of Tesla's accelerator system.
