The front-drive steer axle fasteners may not have been tightened sufficiently and could come loose, resulting in a complete separation of the axle assembly joints.","Consequence":"Steer axle assembly separation can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.","Remedy":"Meritor will inspect and repair the axle assembly joints, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2023.
